Straight out of Nashville, Judah and the Lion has been hitting the U.S alternative charts ever since their 2013 release Sweet Tennessee. Their newest album Folk Hop ‘N Roll has numerous hits from “Take It All Back” to our newest addition to the station, “Suit and Jacket”.



Spoon – Hot Thoughts

No stranger to radio hits, Spoon brings us yet another awesome hit to graze the radio airwaves. Their most recent album, Hot Thoughts, was released just earlier this week on March 17th.



James Vincent McMorrow – Get Low

With the vast abundance of alternative bands and groups, it is always nice stumbling across an amazing singer songwriter from time to time. Born in Dublin, Ireland, James Vincent McMorrow brings us beautiful melodies that bless our ears and touch our heart.

New York City’s local artists rarely disappoint when putting out amazing new music, and this is sure not an exception. Loose Buttons have been playing gigs around the New York area for more than five years now, showing their indie roots to the whole state.


The Heydaze – Hurt Like Hell

The Heydaze shows us the darkest side of loss of a loved-one through their first single, “Hurt Like Hell”. Guitarist Andrew Spelman says, “Everybody’s been through something they don’t want to think about. It was important for all of us to yell on the chorus”. Suitcase Junket – Beta Star

Matt Lorenz’ solo-project “Suitcase Junket” shows deep rooted rhythms of rock and blues throughout his song “Beta Star”. You can find Matt playing everywhere from street corners to living rooms to huge music festivals.


Northam – Love and Fame

We love local music here at The Spin, and always are showing our appreciation for the great bands of Indiana. Formed in in Evansville late last year, Northam has caught our attention with their single “Love and Fame”. At the station, we are looking forward to what they can offer us for local music in the near future.


Imaginary Tricks – Bird

Listening to our newest addition to the station, you would have never guessed that one man made it all simultaneously. Using cool mixing techniques in real time, Mike Visser brings together several instruments to give us a relaxing yet powerful song.

Critics like to describe Flagship’s songs of having a certain “dreamlike quality” to them. That quality shines in their most recent single “Mexican Jackpot”. Keep an eye out for their album set to release later next month!


Day Wave – Something Here

Solo project Day Wave merges the boundaries between Synth Pop and Indie Rock so well that it’s hard not to fall in love with his single “Something Here”. Starting in May, Day Wave will be embarking on a long tour kicking off in Germany and ending in the United States.


Cage the Elephant – Cold Cold Cold

Cage the Elephant is sure no stranger here at 95.7 The Spin! “Cold Cold Cold” comes off their 2016 release, Tell Me I’m Pretty. It now joins the very many Cage the Elephant songs we play here at the station.


Bastille – Blame

Started as a solo project in 2010 by Dan Smith, Bastille has blown up into an explosive Indie Pop band that has toured all around the world. They even toured with the grand alternative rock band “Muse” in 2013.
